The teaching methodology adopted at Ambay College of Law is intensive as well as extensive class-room teaching involving active participation of the students. Theoretical class room teaching is supplemented by clinical legal work. It also includes preparation/presentation of project reports, submission of assignments, participation in seminars and moot courts.
Moot Courts are a thrust area of Legal Education. The College strives to integrate the theory and practice of law in campus setting through moot court activities. The Moot Court is practiced in different stages like analysis of the facts of a case to decide cases in light of a case presented in the Moot Court statement, drafting written and oral arguments with counselors Moot Court activities are coordinated by the Members of faculty.
The students have to organize the Legal Awareness programme at different place of the locality especially at Block Level. The participation of the legal Panchayat representatives of the block is invited. Issues concerning the working of Panchayats are discussed and panchayat members are educated about their duties and way of functioning. Training work of Lok Adalats, Legal Aid Camps and Legal Literacy Camps in remote villages form an integral part of practical training of law. A Free Legal Aid cell is working under the chairmanship of the Chairman of Ambay College of Law. The free legal aid cell provides legal aid to poor persons of the locality/society.
This is an in-house and supportive program for the multi-faceted and proper development of the intellect of the students providing them an opportunity to present problems based submissions and presentations among the colleagues and staff members. College is in the process of organizing national seminars and various multi-disciplinary issues of legal relevance for social upliftment.
It is an orientation of the College to develop the students in all the facets of knowledge and to understand the law in its practice, with the motive to locate the way and means to solve the ever-emerging problems within the legislations by the application of proper law and reasoning. The high profile job is executed by the best professionals, judges and academicians.
The College has maintained a rich library consisting text books, law journals, periodicals, magazines & reference books prescribed & recommended by the University/BCI, including printed material of immense source of knowledge.
